Agra and the Taj Mahal
After a two hour train journey we arrived in Agra, home of the Taj Mahal. As soon as we got to the train station we were bombarded by the touts. We think this place is better named "Agro Agra" since you can't walk more than 5 steps without being hassled by either a rickshaw driver or begger, or come to mention it a cow, monkey, goat, or even donkey!
This place really is mad, the number of animals there are! We even found a cow laying in the road at a roundabout!!
As for the Taj Mahal, well we've put some pictures below. It's absolutely huge and kind of changes colour according to the time of day. Everyone said it was amazing at sunrise so there was us trotting down there at 5.30am....to see it looking almost the same as during the day! As for them charging 25p for locals to enter and about 10 pounds for foreigners to enter, well that's just rude!!

We're finally here - only a day late!
Well we finally made it here, despite missing our first connecting flight due to flight delays and getting stuck for a night in Germany!!!! Lufthansa blamed the weather for the delays, despite the fact that it was sunny but nevermind!
Within the first 72 hours of leaving the UK we don't think more could have gone wrong....once we got to Delhi, our taxi took 3 hours to get to our well known hotel, the `Asian Guest House` since he didn't have a clue where it was...we've been involved in one rickshaw crash and witnessed another...changed hostels since our first one didn't have matresses and almost been run over by a number of things, including a herd of cows!!! All in all it's been fantastic!!
Actually it's not that bad, despite the 40 degree heat, and it actually doesn't smell as bad as we thought...well not everywhere anyway! Tomorrow we're off to see the Taj mahal. We're going there for two days but as yet haven't a clue where we're staying! Perhaps we'll sleep rough like most of the locals do!! Come Sunday night we're heading for Hong Kong, which should be a little easier!!
Anyway, here's a couple of pics for you...we're off for some local curry and beer!!!
